Itinerary
On the first day of your Iguazú Falls and Iberá Wetlands trip, fly north to Puerto Iguazú, on the border of Argentina and Brazil, the gateway to Iguazú National Park and its amazing waterfalls. Your private guide will be waiting for you at the airport to take you to your first-class hotel. You can enjoy the rest of the day exploring the city on your own, tasting local cuisine, or relaxing at the hotel.
On this day, visit the impressive Argentine side of the waterfalls. With your private local guide, walk along the lower circuit trails, enjoying stunning views of the falls, lush vegetation, and colorful wildlife. Then, visit the upper circuit to see the same falls from a different perspective. The tour ends with a visit to the most impressive waterfall, La Garganta del Diablo (Devil’s Throat), an 80-meter-high natural spectacle. To reach it, take the ecological train and walk along elevated walkways. You can stay and admire the breathtaking scenery while the mist from the crashing water refreshes you—a truly unforgettable experience!
Spend your second day exploring the Brazilian side of Iguaçu National Park, which offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the Iguazú Falls. After crossing the border, enjoy a scenic bus ride through lush rainforest. The main trail leads to spectacular viewpoints, including the famous Devil’s Throat, where the falls roar with incredible power. Wildlife sightings—such as coatis and butterflies—add charm to the experience. Although shorter than the Argentine visit, this side offers wider perspectives of the falls. A must-see for a complete appreciation of one of the world’s most awe-inspiring natural wonders.
On the third day of your trip, arrive in Posadas, where your local guide will be waiting to take you to a stunning estancia located near the Iberá Wetlands. These estancias are perfect for getting in touch with nature and local wildlife, exploring the surroundings, and discovering traditional gaucho life. They are a mix between a family home and a boutique hotel, offering homemade meals and authentic cultural experiences. Once settled, explore the beautiful countryside on foot or horseback.
To conclude your Iguazú Falls and Iberá Wetlands itinerary, enjoy a boat trip for unforgettable wildlife viewing, you may spot caimans, capybaras, and a variety of native flora and fauna. Alternatively, you can choose from other activities such as hiking, birdwatching, photography, kayaking, or horseback riding, depending on what your estancia offers. Most accommodations provide a wide range of outdoor experiences.
After breakfast, your guide will take you to the airport in Posadas for your flight to your next destination. Take with you unforgettable memories of Argentina’s stunning waterfalls, rich wildlife, and warm local hospitality.
