This private Laguna de los Tres trek with a guide is El Chaltén's essential day. Departure around 7:00-7:30 AM along the Río Blanco through lenga beech forest to the climbers' base camp, then a final boulder ascent to the glacial lagoon at 3,054 meters, directly below Fitz Roy's north face. A dedicated guide manages departure timing against the wind forecast — the afternoon wind off the ice field to the west can make the upper section genuinely demanding. Return by 4:30-5:30 PM.

Full day in Reserva Los Huemules, a private conservation area away from El Chaltén's main trekking routes. Trails cross lenga forest, hidden valleys, and glacial rivers, with a far lower chance of meeting other hikers than on the park's signature trails.

A steady, sustained ascent through open steppe and alpine terrain to Loma del Pliegue Tumbado, one of the few 360-degree viewpoints over Fitz Roy and Cerro Torre in Los Glaciares National Park, with Lake Viedma and the steppe stretching out behind. The summit is fully exposed to wind, so a windproof layer is essential even in summer.

A gentler trail than the previous days, heading west through the Fitz Roy River canyon to the moraine above Laguna Torre, where Cerro Torre's granite spire and the floating icebergs of Glaciar Grande are the payoff. Return to El Chaltén, then a private transfer back to El Calafate for the night.

Full-day Big Ice glacier trekking excursion: a boat crossing of Lake Argentino to a secluded shore, followed by a crampon-equipped trek directly on the surface of Perito Moreno Glacier. The route winds past crevasses, meltwater pools, and ice formations carved by the glacier's movement.water lagoons, and massive ice caves shaped by centuries of compression.

Navigation through Lake Argentino's icebergs to Estancia Cristina, a historic Patagonian ranch. A 4x4 vehicle climbs to a viewpoint over Upsala Glacier, followed by a trek through Cañadón de los Fósiles, a canyon with visible marine fossils and views over the Southern Patagonian Ice Field.

Boat crossing of Lake Argentino to Estancia Cerro Castillo, followed by a hike between Cerro Castillo and Cerro Hobler to Juliet Waterfall, with lunch at a mountain refuge. The area is a reliable spot for Andean condor sightings before the return navigation.

Flight to Ushuaia, the southernmost city in the world. In the afternoon, a private Beagle Channel navigation past sea lion and bird colonies, ending at the Les Éclaireurs Lighthouse.

Full day combining a guided trek through Tierra del Fuego National Park's coastal trails and peat bogs with a canoe excursion on calm rivers and sea bays inside the park, reaching stretches of coastline inaccessible on foot.

A demanding Vinciguerra Glacier trek into the Andes above Ushuaia, climbing through moss-covered forest and peat bog to Laguna de los Témpanos, at the foot of the glacier. In favorable conditions, the route continues onto the ice itself, with ice caves and crevasses visible up close.

9 km round trip | 200-220m elevation gain | 4-5 hours | Moderate

A shorter, more accessible Laguna Esmeralda hike than the previous day's trek, crossing peat valleys and subantarctic forest to a lagoon known for its vivid turquoise color from glacial sediment. A relaxed afternoon by the shore closes out the trekking portion of the trip.

Private transfer to Ushuaia Airport (USH) for the flight to Buenos Aires and onward international connections.
