At Southwind Experience, Patagonia is where we live and work—not a destination we manage from a distance. That connection shapes every itinerary we design, as we personally test every experience we offer. Every route is built from scratch, shaped around each traveler rather than a predetermined itinerary.
Our network is built on guides, hosts, and partners we know firsthand—people we have worked alongside for years and whose judgment we trust completely. A dedicated team supports every step of your journey, ensuring that coordination between regions, logistics, and accommodations runs seamlessly. Together, they bring your travel experience to life with the kind of care that only comes from deep-rooted, long-standing local relationships.

We work closely with you through the entire planning process, refining and adjusting every detail until the itinerary is right. Once you're traveling, a dedicated local contact is available throughout—reachable by phone or message, in the same time zone, managing any changes in real time so nothing interrupts your experience.

Southwind Experience was born from a clear belief: a destination cannot be truly experienced through pre-designed itineraries. It must be thoughtfully crafted around each traveler, shaped by personal interests, pace, and a deeper connection to the place. For nearly two decades, we have lived and worked in Patagonia, exploring its most remote corners and building close relationships with the people behind each experience. This is our home. We are constantly traveling across Argentina and Chile, and our knowledge comes from being constantly on the ground, refining routes, discovering new places, and carefully selecting every detail. We personally know the hotels, guides, and partners we work with. These long-standing relationships allow us to design journeys with privileged access, authenticity, and a level of care that goes far beyond standard travel planning. Co-founder
I grew up in a rural town in Buenos Aires, where my love for exploration first began. That curiosity led me to study Tourism and dedicate my career to creating meaningful travel experiences. Seventeen years ago, I arrived in Patagonia, what was meant to be a short stay became home.
Patagonia transformed the way I understand travel. Its wild beauty, vast landscapes, and profound silence sparked a deep connection that continues to shape everything I do. Today, I bring that perspective into every journey I design, seeking to share not just a destination, but a way of experiencing it, more deeply, more personally, and more consciously.

I’ve always been driven by curiosity and a passion for travel, exploring new places from a young age. That path led me to study Tourism and eventually brought me to Patagonia, where what was meant to be a single season turned into nearly two decades.
Over the years, Patagonia has shaped who I am and the way I understand life, it revealed that travel is something far deeper than simply visiting a place. Patagonia's landscapes, silence, and weather invite a more genuine connection, one that continues to influence how I approach every journey: with intention, respect, and a desire to create experiences that truly resonate.
We design and operate every journey with the same intention: to deliver a private travel experience across Argentina and Chile that is genuinely well-organized, deeply informed, and built around the traveler rather than around operational convenience. We do this responsibly—protecting the natural environments we work within, respecting the cultures we encounter, and ensuring that the communities we visit benefit directly from the travel we facilitate.

Southwind from the planning stages to delivery of the trip in Patagonia were faultless and I really love the little reminders sent for each separate stage and really appreciated the added bits around passport checking and border crossing paperwork. The whole team was super friendly, and for our trip with Fernando he was great company and knew where to stop for refreshments and a view! I had a great experience with Southwind. They organized a tour for us to visit Monte Leon from El Calafate. Fernando & Laura organized the logistics and were very helpful. Martin accompanied us on the tour and doubled up as driver and tour guide, which was beyond our expectations. We saw a lot of wildlife en route, as well as in the park with Martin’s help.
