The tour explores Santiago's historic, commercial and residential districts, piecing together the story of Chile's capital. Stops include La Moneda Presidential Palace and the surrounding civic and historic center, Plaza de Armas, Santiago's Cathedral, the Central Post Office and City Hall. From there, the route follows the city's main avenue, La Alameda, to Cerro Santa Lucía — the hill where Pedro de Valdivia founded Santiago de Nueva Extremadura in 1541 — for a short walk on one of the city's most emblematic hills.
The tour then continues into Providencia and Las Condes, Santiago's modern commercial and residential neighborhoods, passing Costanera Center and its 300-meter tower, the tallest building in South America. Travelers who wish to see the city from above can add on a visit to Sky Costanera, the observation deck at the top of the tower. The route continues through the upscale El Golf neighborhood and the residential sectors at the foot of the Andes, before returning to your hotel.
