Mayo Spirit Trek

The Mayo Spirit Trek is a full-day navigation experience that takes you into one of the most hidden and extraordinary areas of Los Glaciares National Park: the Mayo Channel of Lake Argentino, a place few visitors ever reach. Thanks to its unique microclimate and higher humidity, this sector features lush and distinctive vegetation not found elsewhere in the region. The excursion combines gentle forest walks with stunning Patagonian scenery, including waterfalls, rivers, and hanging glaciers. The journey concludes with an unforgettable visit to the iconic Perito Moreno Glacier, where you will enjoy a navigation along its northern face as well as free time to explore the famous walkways. Designed for travelers of all ages, the tour includes moderate-level hikes and is ideal for those seeking to immerse themselves in the true essence of the park.

The experience departs from Puerto Punta Bandera at 9:30 a.m. (boarding begins at 9:10 a.m.) and returns at approximately 5:15 p.m. The excursion includes a licensed guide from Los Glaciares National Park (Spanish/English), hot beverages such as coffee, tea, and mate cocido, as well as hot and cold water, and access to a microwave for heating food. Lunch and the National Park entrance fee are not included.

Participants are required to bring warm layers, a waterproof jacket, and comfortable or trekking-appropriate footwear. Please note that this tour is not suitable for travelers with mobility challenges, including those who use wheelchairs or canes, or anyone with conditions that may affect walking.
