Hostería El Puma

Hostería El Puma (El Puma Lodge) is a warm, welcoming mountain lodge located right in the center of El Chaltén, just a few steps from the town’s main avenue and trailheads. Since its opening in 1997 as a small refuge, it has grown while still preserving its intimate, cozy spirit. Surrounded by the peaks of Fitz Roy and Cerro Torre, it offers guests the perfect base to explore Patagonia’s wild beauty while enjoying comfort, hospitality, and a home-like atmosphere.

Rooms

The lodge has a total of 17 accommodations, divided into 12 Double Rooms and 5 Double Suites. The Double Suites (about 42 m²) are in a newer annex, with a separate entrance, a private terrace, a cozy reading nook with sofa, bathtub in the bathroom, and rustic-style private garden. The Double Rooms (about 22 m²) are warm and functional, with either queen or twin beds, a bathtub in the bathroom, and a simple, restful design. The Triple Rooms are also offered and can be configured as three single beds or one double and one single bed. All rooms include amenities such as Wi-Fi, safety box, hairdryer, and premium toiletries.

Gastronomy

El Puma Lodge includes a buffet breakfast as part of its room rates.For guests heading out on treks, they offer box lunches (trekking lunches) to take on excursions. In the evenings, the lodge’s restaurant serves dinner with a selection of regional dishes, complemented by a fine wine list of Argentine wines — the perfect way to wind down after a day in the mountains.
